How can I build a Rally Point?

It only goes on one tile: the meadow to the right of the village centre. There is no other slot.

How can I found an alliance?

Embassy level 3 founds. Embassy level 1 plus an invitation joins. Maximum 60 members. On Travikas you also needed an invite just to register — that is a different invite.

How can I change the village name?

Profile → Change Profile → Village name → OK. Select the village first in the village list.

How do I train troops?

Rally Point 1 and Main Building 3, then a Barracks for infantry. Cavalry needs a Stable, siege a Workshop, settlers or chiefs a Residence or Palace at 10+.

How do I defend?

Troops that are in the village — yours or reinforcements — defend automatically. Incoming attacks also toast in the corner; see attack alerts.

Why is crop production sinking?

The header number is production minus population minus troop upkeep. Troops keep eating between play windows. Build cropland or kill troops. Details: upkeep.

Why did my raid bring so little?

Carry cap, or a Cranny. Gaul crannies hold 1.5×. A Teutonic hero raid only sees 80% of a cranny.

How do I found or conquer a village?

Three settlers to found. A surviving chief to conquer, after the Palace/Residence is down, after loyalty hits 0, after you confirm population is still above 0. Settlers · Conquest.

Can I lose a village?

Yes. Catapults to 0 population destroy it (unless it is your last). Capitals cannot be conquered; they can still be destroyed. A successful chiefing on Travikas also parks the winning army in the village.
