Scouting

Scouts are the units with 0 attack: Equites Legati, Teuton Scout, Pathfinder, Birds of Prey. Send them as a scout order, not as a raid.

What you learn

Resources, defending troops, and (with enough scouts) incoming or buildings, depending on the scout type and numbers. A failed scout still tells the defender they were looked at.

Why scout on Travikas

You cannot babysit a target overnight. A scout sent so it lands just inside the next window tells you whether the cranny grew, whether the Palace is still up, and whether your raid is still a raid. Waste ten Legati, not 200 clubs.
